Michael DeFabrizio is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and HIV Specialist (AAHIVS) recognized for his expertise in primary care, critical care, and patient-centered health management. He brings over a decade of clinical experience across diverse settings, with a strong focus on LGBTQ+ healthcare, HIV/AIDS management, and community health.
Michael earned his Master of Science in Nursing from MCPHS University, graduating cum laude, and is currently pursuing a Post-Master’s Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification at Regis College, with an expected completion date of May 2027. His dual focus in family and psychiatric care reflects a deep commitment to comprehensive, holistic, and inclusive healthcare.
Throughout his career, Michael has served in both outpatient and hospital settings, including roles at Fenway Community Health Center and East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, where he provided full-spectrum primary care to patients ranging from pediatric through geriatric populations. His clinical expertise includes preventive health, chronic disease management, women’s health, and urgent care medicine. At Fenway Health, he played a pivotal role in the provision of PrEP and nPEP services and gender-affirming care, combining clinical expertise with compassionate advocacy for marginalized communities.
Michael maintains active nursing and APRN licenses in both Massachusetts and Florida, holding autonomous practice and controlled substance certifications, and is credentialed by both the ANCC and AANP. He is also an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
Outside of clinical work, Michael is passionate about advancing mental health integration within primary care and fostering health equity across underserved populations.
