Advocating for Fair Reimbursement to Keep Health Centers Strong

Title: Advocating for Fair Reimbursement to Keep Health Centers Strong

Michael Curry, President and CEO of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, recently joined fellow health center leaders at the State House to testify in support of two critical bills—House 1097 and Senate 711. These measures would require commercial health plans to fairly reimburse community health centers for the true cost of care. As Curry explains, underpayment by private insurers places a heavy financial strain on health centers, threatening their ability to serve patients and communities across the Commonwealth. Ensuring fair reimbursement is essential, he says, “because you want your health centers to survive, to thrive, and to be there when you need them most.”
