Outer Cape Health Services Announces Three New Primary Care Providers
HARWICH PORT, MA – 9/7/2018 – Outer Cape Health Services today announced three new primary care providers serving the Lower and Outer Cape at two of its three community health center sites. The providers are Matthew Burdette, DO; Nubia Pineda Alcaraz, NP-C; and Mandy Shaw, FNP.
Matthew Burdette, DO, graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine with Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. He is seeing patients at the OCHS Wellfleet Health Center. Prior to entering Medicine, he worked for the U.S. Department of State. He has a special interest in addiction medicine and substance use treatment.
Nubia Pineda Alcaraz, NP-C, is an adult gerontology-trained board certified Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from California State University School of Nursing Long Beach and earned a Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner in 2012. She is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is seeing patients at the OCHS Harwich Health Center. She will transition to OCHS’s new Harwich Port Health Center slated to open in November 2018. Prior to moving to Cape Cod, she worked as a nurse practitioner in Watsonville, CA.
Mandy Shaw, FNP, earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2017. Previously she worked as a Registered Nurse with Outer Cape Health Services in Wellfleet and Provincetown. She is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is focusing on family medicine at the OCHS Wellfleet Health Center.
