At Outer Cape Health Services, our mission is to provide a full range of primary health care and supportive social services that promote the health and well-being of all who live in or visit the eight outermost towns of Cape Cod.
Our health centers are located on the Outer Cape - starting on the tip of Cape Cod in Provincetown, extending down the arm of the Cape to Wellfleet, and wrapping up near the Cape's elbow in Harwich. In addition to our three health centers, we also operate a pharmacy in Wellfleet, a Dental Clinic in Provincetown, and three Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Nutrition Centers in Harwich, Orleans and Provincetown.

Clinical Support – Year Round – Full-Time - Provincetown
Under the supervision of the Health Center Director, assists providers and nursing staff by performing a variety of duties to support the health care providers in the delivery of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provides support to nurses and providers.
- Responds to patient requests within 48 hours utilizing the EMR
- Prepares and send patient letters as requested by the provider or nurse
- Prepares prior authorizations for medication as needed – verifies insurance for eligibility
- Monitors fax box to ensure faxes are handled in a timely manner
- Prepares telephone encounters as needed to providers or nurse
Qualifications
- Position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Position requires knowledge of and experience with electronic medical records
- At least 2 years prior experience in an ambulatory setting preferred
- Basic computer experience a must
- Medical Terminology helpful
- Position requires excellent customer services skills
Additional Knowledge/Skills:
- Experience in a clinical/community health setting for over 3 years preferred
Education/Experience:
- Requires high school diploma or associates degree preferred and minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Development and Communication Associate - Full-time, Year-round, Wellfleet
Under the direction of the Director of Major Gifts, Development and Communication Associate is responsible for administrative and program support for the OCHS fundraising and promotion.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain donor and prospects database, prepare database reports and mailing lists, and process gift acknowledgements
- Manage preparation of direct mail fundraising appeals
- Provide support including meeting notes and agenda for the development committee and capital campaign committees
- Support communication and marketing initiatives, manage our website and other social media communications, write press releases, E-Blasts, website and ad copy and produce other organizational communications materials including brochures and flyers
- Collect information on OCHS services and effectively create the OCHS story to the public

Patient Service Representative - Full-Time (4 days per week), Year Round Provincetown
Under the direction of the Dental Director, primarily working in dental, the Patient Services Representative, ensures smooth patient flow by:
Responsibilities:
- Answering phones; receiving, registering and directing patients and visitors.
- Also writes letters to patient on behalf of the clinician.
- Maintains provider’s schedules.
- Answers phones in a professional manner
- Ensures patient demographic and billing information is accurate.
- May cover medical front desk when needed.
Qualifications:
- Position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of and experience with electronic dental or medical records, preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in an dental setting preferred.
- Basic computer experience a must.
- Dental and Medical Terminology helpful.
- Position requires outstanding customer services skills.
Additional Knowledge/Skills:
Experience in a clinical/community health setting for over 3 years preferred; but not required.
Education/Experience: Requires high school diploma or associates degree preferred and minimum of two years of relevant experience.

PHARMACIST – Per Diem –Wellfleet & Provincetown
Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy participants in the daily operation of the pharmacy department including but not limited to operational and clinical services, preparation and distribution of drugs; and appropriate /timely submission/reconciliation of drug claims, Long Term Care pharmacy experience. Flexible work schedule to meet the pharmacy needs, including all aspects of dispensing prescriptions, counseling and providing drug information to patients and staff.
Qualifications:
Massachusetts licensure as a Pharmacist
3 years pharmacy experience
Basic computer knowledge
Great customer services skills
Able to work in a fast paced environment
This position will require to work all shifts including weekends and holiday.

Facilities Maintenance Assistant -Year Round-Full-time- Provincetown
Under the supervision of Director of Facilities the position of Facilities Maintenance Assistant,will perform semi-skilled and skilled maintenance and custodial duties. The incumbent is responsible for the maintenance of both the public and private sections of the Outer Cape Health Services’ sites.
Maintenance and cleaning experience in a Health Care setting and familiarity with OSHA guidelines and safety procedures a plus. Hours are varied and must be flexible.
Responsibilities:
- Insures building systems are operational and that building has been cleaned and readied for staff and patients.
- Cleaning and maintenance of the facility
- Responsible for minor repairs of the interior and exterior of facilities
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid MA Driver’s License and dependable transportation.
- Must be available by phone after hours and on weekends to respond to emergencies
- Previous cleaning experience in a health care facility preferred.
- Knowledge of procedures related to building safety.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Position requires knowledge of OHSA guidelines and safety
Education/Experience:
- Position requires high school education
