JAMES ANDERSON, DPM, Podiatrist
Graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and received his degree in Podiatric Medicine from New York College. Dr. Anderson was the Chief Podiatric Resident at Bergen Pines County Hospital in New Jersey, and is licensed in Massachusetts. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons as well as the Association of Sports Medicine. He has published numerous papers, including Cytomegalovirus Infection of BS-1, and worked on the FDA protocol for approval of Factor IX & BMP-2. Dr. Anderson has been a coach at the NBA Basketball Camp, and a Medical Volunteer at both the NYC and Boston Marathons.

Dr. Cooper is Board certified in Internal Medicine and provides part-time Urgent Care at OCHS. Dr. Cooper graduated summa cum laude from Marquette University with a BS in Medical Technology before obtaining her Medical degree from University of Massachusetts Medical School. She obtained her Health Policy and Management MS from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Cooper worked at Provincetown Health Center early in the AIDS epidemic, and continued her work at the Fenway Community Health Center before joining the staff at Massachusetts General Hospital where she serves on the Urgent Care staff. Throughout her career she has worked in policy and practice to streamline services to patients seeking the highest quality care. She is a 25 year resident of Provincetown.


MARVIN B. CORLETTE, JR., MD, Surgeon
Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts . He graduated with honors from Stanford University, received his MD from Harvard Medical School , was a General Surgery Intern at UCLA Medical Center, a General Surgery Resident at Boston City Hospital, Harvard Service, a Hepato-biliary Surgery Fellow at the University of Paris, and has taught as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School.


TERRYL DORSCH, DPM, Podiatry
Dr. Dorsch is Board certified in Podiatry, graduated from Penn State with a BS, received her DPM from Dr. Wm. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, and performed her Residency at St. Francis Hospital in Minnesota. She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association as well as the MA Podiatric Medical Association. She is currently licensed to practice in Virginia, FL and MA. Dr. Dorsch provides specialty care to patients in both Wellfleet and Provincetown Health Centers.

Dr. Gold is Board certified in Family Medicine as well as a certified Acupuncturist, and is Director of Pediatrics at OCHS. Her areas of interest are adolescent and women's health, pediatrics, GLBTQ primary care medicine, and complementary medicine. Her MD degree is from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in 1996, and she completed her medical residency at the University of Washington Affiliate Swedish at Providence Family Medicine Program. Dr Gold became a certified graduate of The Institute for Classical 5-Element Acupuncture in Santa Monica, CA in 2004.

Dr. Levine is Board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Levine graduated magna cum laude from Ursinus College in 1988, taught high school biology for three years prior to going to medical school and graduated from The Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1994. After completing a family medicine residency at the West Jersey Family Medicine Residency in 1997, Dr. Levine stayed on as faculty for 13 years. A New Jersey "Top Doc" in 2008, Dr. Levine is interested in all aspects of family medicine, from birth to grave, including well child visits, GLBT health, chronic disease management, and preventive medicine. Dr. Levine practices at OCHS in Wellfleet as well as Provincetown.

millhofer, outer cape health servicesLAWRENCE G. MILLHOFER, MD, Primary Care
Dr. Millhofer is Board certified in Internal Medicine, and has been a practicing primary care internist for 32 years since 1978. Dr Millhofer especially finds that taking care of geriatric patients as well as patients with diabetes is very rewarding. Dr Millhofer works to ensure that all patients receive the highest standard of care. He is the chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee at OCHS. Dr Millhofer received his BA degree from Haverford College and his MD from SUNY at Buffalo where he was elected to the National Medical Honors Society. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine with a focus on primary care at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco. Dr. Millhofer resides in Provincetown.

Dr. Newman is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has been practicing for over 32 years. Dr Newman is a graduate of Harvard University, obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1975, and performed his residency at Genesee Hospital, Rochester, NY, which he completed in 1978.

LORI A. PANTHER, MD, MPH, Infectious Disease
Dr. Panther is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease, and is licensed in the States of CA, Washington and MA.. She graduated from the Univ. of Iowa with a BS and MD, and went on to the Harvard School of Public Health to earn her MPH. Dr. Panther was an Internal Medicine Intern and Resident at UCSF, and was the Chief Resident at San Francisco General Hospital. She went on to be an Infectious Disease Fellow as well as the Microbiology Senior Research Fellow at the University of Washington Hospitals and Clinics. She was an Instructor, and an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, and held the position of Medical Director, Infectious Diseases at Beth Israel Deaconess.

Dr. Pearsall is Board Eligible in Family Medicine, and sees both adults and children. Originally from New York City, Dr. Pearsall has special interests in patient education, women's health and preventive care. She believes strongly in the collaborative nature of the doctor-patient relationship. Dr. Pearsall received her B.A. at City University of New York-Hunter College, her M.D. from Saba University School of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine internship and residency training at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester. In addition to her time spent building wooden boats, she has participated in community volunteer work on a variety of issues and intends to maintain this service to the people and environment of the Outer Cape.

JENNIFER V. POPE, MD, Emergency Medicine
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, graduated magna cum laude from Hamilton College, and obtained her Medical degree from the University of Connecticut. She completed her residency at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency where she was elected Chief Resident. Dr. Pope received the Clinical Excellence Award from the BIDMC Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency. Currently, she is an attending at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, an Instructor at Harvard Medical School, and the Assistant Residency Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency. Dr. Pope is also the Medical Director of the BIDMC-OCHS Urgent Care Program. Her works have been published in the Journal of Emergency Medicine and Internal and Emergency Medicine, among others.

Dr. Prazak is Board certified in Internal Medicine. She is a 1976 magna cum laude graduate of Boston College with a BS degree in Biology, obtained her Medical Degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester in 1980, and performed her residency at Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge from 1981-1983. She has been a resident of Wellfleet where she and her husband have raised their two children and has been a physician at Outer Cape Health for over two decades. Dr. Prazak practices at OCHS in both Wellfleet and Provincetown.

millhofer, outer cape health servicesCHRISTOPHER ROWLEY, MD, MPH, Infectious Disease and Director of HIV Medicine
Dr. Rowley is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease, and is licensed in Colorado, Botswana and Massachusetts. He obtained his BA from the University of Notre Dame, his DM from Brooklyn SUNY where he graduate magna cum laude, and his MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Rowley Interned and performed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado, Denver, was a Clinical Fellow in Infectious Diseases at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and was a Research Fellow in Molecular Biology of HIV at the Harvard School of Public Health. He has been appointed a Clinical Fellow in Infectious Diseases and an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Rowley is an Attending Physician in the Division of Infectious Diseases at BIDMC, and has held multiple visiting appointments at the Infectious Diseases Care Clinic in Gaborone, Botswana.

Dr. Shay is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Chemistry from St. Lawrence University, obtained his MD from Albany College, interned at St. Vincent's Hospital, and performed his residency at Metropolitan Hospital, also in NY. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College, and is a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr Shay brings over 25 years experience as a physician with particular depth in providing primary care to people with HIV and those with more complicated medical conditions. He is committed to prevention and partnership with his patients. Although Dr. Shay recently joined the OCHS staff coming from a large group practice next to St. Vincent's Hospital in NYC, he has had a home in Wellfleet since 1993.

Dr. Thuraisamy is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and received her degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine in 1993. She completed her dual residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of New York in 1997, and received her BA in Chemistry from Mount Holyoke. She previously practiced in rural Alaska, and as a locum's physician in CA, Washington and NY, and is now seeing children and adults.

JANET WHELAN, MD, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care
Dr. Whalenis Board certified in Internal Medicine, and recently retired as a primary care physician but will be continuing to provide some urgent care coverage at OCHS. She is a 1965 graduate of Harvard University, Radcliffe College. She obtained her MD from SUNY Downstate Medical College in 1981, and performed her residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Internal Medicine Residency, from 1981-1984. Dr Whelan is a life long resident of Provincetown.

JOSEPH ZIBRAK, MD, Pulmonologist
Dr. Zibrak is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine. Dr. Zibrak also practices intensive care medicine as an active member of the medical staff of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Zibrak graduated cum laude from Colgate University, interned and completed a medical residency at the University of Michigan, and completed a Pulmonary Fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine. His major research interests include Interstitial Lung Disease, with published articles in the NE Journal of Medicine and Experimental Lung Research. Dr Zibrak sees adult patients in pulmonary consultation year-round at the Wellfleet Health Center of OCHS by referral from their primary care provider at OCHS. Dr. Zibrak also has a home in Wellfleet.
